Principles and practice of general insurance business

Course Description

The general Insurance practice course covers a broad array of topics/policies focusing on individual and commercial insurance coverage. After introducing the basic insurance concepts, the course will introduce the concept underwriting and the different policies.

 Course Objectives

  1. To recognize the need for general insurance coverage in both the individual and the commercial settings
  2. To learn the basics of the primary general policies
  3. To appreciate legal environment which serves to regulate the general insurance business policies
