Course Description
This course is designed to provide an overview, design, function, management, regulation, and evaluation of health insurance. It provides a firm foundation in basic concepts pertaining to private health insurance/benefit plans given the rising costs of quality health services at the hands of the inadequacy in the public health system. This has made health insurance a viable and a dynamic industry in a growing sector of the economy. The aim is to equip students to market and underwrite health insurance.
