Course Description

This course focuses on basic sales skills with an emphasis on understanding selling and sales trends in a competitive and diverse business environment. The learner will determine their personal motivation for a sales career and assess his/her capabilities and potential for success in sales.

Course Objectives

The learner will be able to;

  1. Understand the fundamentals of selling.
  2. Understand the importance of selling in the business.
  3. Acquire knowledge of identifying customers and their needs.
  4. Learn techniques of closing a sale.

  2. Communicate to customers: effectively and persuasively.
  3. Present goods/services he/she is selling in an attractive manner.
  4. Identify prospects, qualify them, handle objections and close the sale.
  5. Develop sales presentations to satisfy customer needs and wants.
  6. Evaluate different types of sales presentations.
  7. Evaluate the role and function of the sales person.
  8. Make sales presentations to individuals and groups
