Agriculture insurance

Course Objectives

This program provides an insight into the mechanism of agriculture insurance. This program will also discuss methods of handling agriculture's risks, the insurance market, the duties of brokers and agents and their responsibilities in agricultural insurance. Agricultural insurance is one tool to manage the risks that may arise in agricultural production, which will actively be used by financial intermediaries to hedge the financing of agricultural products.

Course Objectives

  1. To help students understand the use of agricultural insurance products
  2. To help students understand the design and development of new products in agricultural insurance
  3. To equip candidates with the essential knowledge of agriculture's risks and insurance policies.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the program, participants should be able to:

  1. To understand the principles, concepts of the agricultural insurance
  2. To identify the technical and legal principal of agricultural insurance.
  3. To understand the methods of handling agricultural risks.
