Claims management

This course provides an overview of the insurance claims. To have a full and broad understanding of the world of risk and insurance, it is helpful to have an appreciation for the loss adjustment function and the personnel who carry out that function. The role of the claims professional is to translate the promise made in the contract of the insurance policy to make/not make payment under the insurance policy.

 Course objectives

  1. To appreciate the best practice criteria of planning and conducting claims investigations, resolve and close cases in a timely, professional, and compliant manner.
  2. To appreciate the role of communications in the claims adjustment process
  3. To grasp the claims adjustment process and perform the tasks in an efficient manner.

 Learning outcomes

On successful completion of the course, the student will be able:

  2. To communicate the claims process and satisfy the clients
