Motor insurance underwriting

Course Description

This course deals with all major aspects of motor insurance: the marketplace and the different marketing methods; the legal framework; underwriting and rating factors; specialist types of motor policies including commercial vehicles and an introduction to motor fleet ratings; the claims process; documentation and renewals.

Course Objectives

  1. To gain knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice of motor insurance for both personal and commercial use.
  2. To understand the legal and regulatory considerations applicable to motor insurance business.
  3. To appreciate the motor insurance market and the way that it functions;
  4. To understand the underwriting process for motor insurance;
