Practical issues in claims management

Course Description

This course is designed to provide individuals engaged in insurance loss adjusting with the necessary working knowledge and competency to ensure that they are able to support an efficient loss adjusting operation. It will also provide a strong knowledge foundation in the loss adjusting sector.

Course objectives

  1. To provide an extensive knowledge of the insurance products.
  2. To understand the policy cover, exclusions and conditions of the major classes of insurance
  3. To understand the role of investigation, negotiation of settlement and the presentation of reports in loss adjusting

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, participants will able to:

  1. Have greater depth of knowledge and understanding of the policy cover, exclusions and conditions of the major classes of insurance
  2. Have sound appreciation of the application of investigation, negotiation of settlement and the presentation of reports in loss adjusting
  3. Have the ability to present reasoned arguments and discussed situations involving adjusting application in given circumstances
